HASEGAWA SHOJUDO – YUZEN PAPER & STATIONERY

Hasegawa Shojudo offers Yuzen Paper and stationery made with a unique paper called KYOYUZENSHI, which is named after Yuzenzome.

Yuzenzome was originally created by the noted Edo-era fan designer, Yuzensai Miyazaki. It started as dyeing procedure for fabric but it was later applied for paper. This technique can keep the colors on paper for ages.

Today, the designs are shown not only on traditional kimonos but also on modern and contemporary designs which is acquiring popularity among all generation and areas.

Hasegawa Shojudo has more than 3,000 different designs which are inspired by traditional patterns, flowers, ancient landscapes and more. Most designs are offered in several color-ways therefore, they have more than 5,000 designs to please your taste.

About 1 to 25 colors can be seen on a paper that is carefully dyed by hand. We suggest Kyoyuzenshi for many uses such as doll making, boxes, artworks, wrapping papers and wall papers.
Please enjoy Hasegawa Shojudo’s paper in your own way.
