YOSHIYO STUDIOS – WROUGHT IRON WORKMANSHIP

At Yoshiyo Stusios, we are engaged in creating a variety of products based on Japanese traditional design culture, to be used as both architectural decorations and interior designs in a modern setting.

The designs and patterns we produce in iron and other metals are characterized by the same philosophy of expression as seen in other traditional Japanese arts and crafts using materials such as paper, bamboo, and wood, and are thus intrinsically very different from the heavy, cumbersome expressions found in Western wrought iron creations.

The scope of works undertaken at Yoshiyo Studios is as follows:

1. Unique creations by artists
2. Creation, production, and proposal and creation of designs by our design studios
3. Design documentation, and proposal and creation of designs by our design studios

See-through type partitions find their roots in the Japanese life-style and living culture. Bamboo and rattan blinds, sliding paper doors, and latticed doors and windows create perceptual boundaries without completely closing off space.

In addition, a decorative design space is provided by the surface of these articles.
